Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans (BFTA) proudly participated in Ambiente 2026, one of the world’s leading international trade fairs for consumer goods, held in Frankfurt, Germany. Exhibiting at Hall 10.4, Booth D65, BFTA presented a unique collection of handmade Palestinian products, connecting local artisans with global buyers and fair trade partners.
The showcased collection featured olive wood crafts from Bethlehem, hand-painted ceramics from Hebron, traditional embroidery, and blown glass each piece reflecting a rich cultural heritage combined with contemporary design. “Participating in Ambiente is a vital opportunity for us to ensure that Palestinian artisans remain connected to global markets, especially during these challenging times,” said Suzan Sahori, Co-Founder and Director of BFTA. “Every product we present carries a story of resilience, identity, and craftsmanship, and through fair trade, we are able to transform these stories into sustainable livelihoods.”
During Ambiente 2026, Bethlehem Fair Trade Artisans (BFTA) placed artisans at the heart of its participation, ensuring that the primary impact of the fair directly supported their livelihoods. By promoting their handmade products to international buyers, securing new orders, and strengthening long-term partnerships, BFTA helped generate sustainable income opportunities for artisans, especially women led cooperatives and small family workshops. This engagement not only increased market access but also reinforced the resilience and continuity of traditional Palestinian craftsmanship.
Through its participation, BFTA successfully strengthened relationships with existing partners and established new connections with international buyers, reinforcing its mission to empower marginalized producers, including women led cooperatives and family workshops across Palestine.
